What are captive screws?

Captive screw literally means a screw that is loose and will not fall off. Also known as loose, spring screws, not of the screw. It’s riveting or presses riveting in the installation board, more for power technology, switches, cabinets, and other industries.

panel screw

The non-detachable screw (panel spring screw) is composed of several components, which are:

  • Screw part: it is used to fasten the other end of the thin plate of the chassis. It is made of carbon steel and stainless steel. It’s good for tool tightening;

  • Hand twist sleeve: General will straighten the pattern, the material is usually aluminum, but sometimes need to be black aluminum oxidation;

  • Press riveting sleeve: riveting on the panel depends on it;

  • Spring: facilitate the expansion and contraction of the screw and the whole component does not come out;

After each part is produced, it is assembled into an integral whole, and the hand-twisting part is extruded so that the hand-twisting part and the press riveting part are inlaid together by a spring to form an integral whole
Spring-loaded plate screws.

The characteristic of panel screws

  • Drilling, tapping, locking once completed, strong binding force;
  • Saving construction space and improving work efficiency;
  • Material Carbon Steel: low carbon steel, medium carbon steel, high carbon steel, and alloy steel;
  • The structural toughness is good.

Application scenarios

  • Stainless steel plate, metal steel plate, galvanized steel plate, engineering installation;
  • Outdoor installation of metal curtain wall, metal light partition, etc.
  • General Angle Steel, channel steel, iron plate, and other metal materials combined installation;
  • Assembly engineering of car compartments, containers, shipbuilding, refrigeration equipment, etc.
